What we collect

To run the site we handle a short list of data. Your device sends the usual technical basics — IP address, browser type, rough country-level location — which the matching queue and our security tooling use in the moment. If you create an account, we store the email address you gave us and your coin balance. If you buy coins, the payment is processed by our payment provider; we see a transaction reference, never your full card details.

Support emails are kept so we can answer them and see the history if you write again.

What we never collect

Video calls are not recorded, not transcribed and not stored — a rabbit video call happens between two devices and leaves no copy on our servers. We do not ask for your real name, your contacts, your precise GPS position, or your social media accounts, and we do not build advertising profiles from your chats.

How the data is used

Technical data keeps matches fast and the site secure — matching you with someone online, blocking abuse, throttling bots. Account data exists to serve your account: holding your coin balance and processing purchases. Moderation data, such as reports, is used to enforce the community guidelines. That is the whole list; the data does not get repurposed for anything else.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-respecting analytics (including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand which pages are useful and where the site breaks — aggregate numbers like visits, load times and clicks, not the content of your conversations. Cookies on the site keep you logged in and remember basic preferences. Blocking analytics cookies in your browser will not stop you from matching.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, full stop. A small number of vendors touch limited data while providing their service to us — the payment provider that processes coin purchases, the hosting and security infrastructure that keeps the site online, and the analytics tools named above. Contractually, each of them may use that data for their service to us and nothing else.

Your choices and your rights

You can use Rabbit Video Chat without an account at all — the most private way to hop. If you do have an account, you can request a copy of the data tied to it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete the account and its data. Write to [email protected] from the account’s email address and we handle the rest. Deletion requests are honored; some payment records may be kept where the law requires it.
